In Croatia you will  often see  for sale signs  advertising a product for sale in Euro`s such as real estate, vehicle sale etc. However All transactions in Croatia must be made in Kuna. The word Kuna is an animal from the Marten family, a carnivorous animal.

1 kuna = 100 lipa. There are 1, 2, 5, 10 ,20 and 50 Lipa coins.

Kuna Coins are 1, 2, and 5

Kuna bank notes are 5,10, 20,50,100,200, 500, and 1,000

Kuna can be exchanged at most hotels, banks,exchange offices, post offices,travel agencies,camps, and marinas.The majority of shops,restaurants, and hotels accept all mayor credit cards., Cash dispensing machines are common in most Cities in Croatia.

There are several national holidays in Croatia during the year, on these days all banks will be closed and most of the shops will be closed

Easter Monday. The second day of easter

May 1st . Labour day

40 days. From Easter. Corpus Christ

June 22nd .Anti Fascist Resistance Day

June 25th.  Statehood Day.

August 5th. Victory Day and National Thanksgiving Day

August 15th. Assumption

October 8th. Independence Day.

November 1st. All Saints day

December 25th and 26th. Christmas holidays.

During all  National Holidays all public institutions are closed
